She beckons me to her

She -

Of golden tints and vermillion shades

Of auburn curls and bronzed skin

Of amber and saffron

Intertwined as one

Adorning fair lines

And sculpted built -

Whose lidded grey eyes breathe

Of cloudless climes; starless skies

She whispers down the wind

Of hidden secrets

And the frost that arrives.

Tis' Autumn the fair

Who enchants me best.
